Disable noise cancallation for Windows 7?

Post by Rickenbacker » Sat Sep 29, 2012 10:15 pm

Trying to make a recording,m but the playback sounds muffled, garbly & sort of "underwater". Last time I had this problem, I was using Win XP & disabled it.
No idea how to solve it with Win 7.
Can anyone walk me through this?

(Audacity via .exe installer)

Same thing. Start > Control Panels > Sound or whatever it is on your machine.

The Win7 machine at work has a panel that invites me to apply noise reduction in three or five jumps of increasing effect. You want OFF. I think the panels change slightly depending on your computer.
