Re: Opening the program
Folks
I think we've reached the end of the line with this problem. We've tried most every solution and the problem keeps on returning. The folks at Presonus won't help because they will only service the unit with their own proprietary DAW software.
Short of investing in a new computer and operating system, I'm not sure we'll ever solve this one.
Thanks for all your time and effort

Re: Opening the program
Does the DAW supported by Presonus have the same issue?
A full reinstall of Windows XP might help (back up all your data and program installers). This is good practice with older versions of Windows.
Or you could set Task Scheduler to reboot the computer just before you arrive for work each morning.

Re: Opening the program
The DAW supported by Presonus is Studio One and I have no idea how or why is is working
Reinstalling Windows is tantamount to buying another computer and that may be my last option.

Re: Opening the program
Do you mean that if you run Studio One all day, turn it off at night, then launch it next morning, it always records?rj7500 wrote:The DAW supported by Presonus is Studio One and I have no idea how or why is is working
I don't know your system of course but when I used XP as my main system I repair-installed it (keeping all settings and programs) every two months.rj7500 wrote:Reinstalling Windows is tantamount to buying another computer

After downloading the PreSonus DAW software I was actually able to get the help desk to chat with me. A new, updated driver for the Audiobox seems to have solved the problem. Will keep you posted.

Rather than deleting the thread I've changed the topic title and marked it "SOLVED" as it may be useful for other Audiobox users.
