Default track display mode

I’d like to know if there is a way to make Audacity change the default track display mode. Currently the default is Waveform. Normally I use the Spectrum display mode, so it would be handy for me to change the default and make Audacity show the Spectrum mode automatically. However, the manual doesn’t seem to describe any option for doing this. Is there any way of doing it?

To set the default audio track view:
Edit > Preferences > Tracks

I added a note about this (and also where to set default sample rate and format) to Track Drop-Down Menu in the Manual.
