Recordings making weird noises?

Help for Audacity on Windows.

Recordings making weird noises?

I haven't been able to find this anywhere on the forums. I have a problem with my recording. It sounds really strange. I put an attachment showing you what it sounds like.

I am using Windows 7 x64 with the most recent Audacity.

I am using the built in microphone on my laptop.

Any help with this?

The Audacity spectrograms seem to be showing a quite significant high frequency content from a voice recording!

No worries, that's often the main difficulty.
As a matter of interest, did you find one particular item form that page to be the solution or was it a combination of things?
