Create file on windows, can Mac replay it?

I want to create files with my Windows computer but will have people who want to hear the file on a Mac. Will this work or do I have to somehow create the file on a Mac in order to replay on a Mac?

If you export the project as a 16 bit WAV file (the default audio export format), that will play on Windows, Mac, Linux or just about anything else.

MP3s will do that, too, but you are warned against trying to do production or create new product in MP3. MP3 creates sound damage each time you make a new one. So they're only for listening. Koz
