Cannot record streaming audio

Post by blacksound » Tue Jul 17, 2012 3:01 pm

I have an HP laptop, and I can't seem to record streaming audio. I have MME or Windows DirectSound. For MME, the two options I have for microphone are Microsoft Sound Mapper and Microphone Conexant Pebble Hig. Neither seem to allow me to record streaming audio. For Windows DirectSound, the two options I have are Primary Sound Capture and Microphone Conexant Pebble Hig. Again, niehter of them allow me to record streaming audio.

Here is what I have tried so far:
1. Using each microphone option.
2. In Recording Devices, Show disabled and disconnected devices to try to get something like "Stereo Mix", but nothing new shows up.
3. Turned off Software Playthrough.
4. I have updated drivers for my sound card and there has been no change.

Does anyone have any ideas to help me out? Thanks in advance!!
