Exporting to wave file to computer

Post by mpp » Sun Jul 15, 2012 9:51 pm

I have a long wave file recording that I've been selecting certain portions of the recording and exporting them for a power point presentation. I was going to export multiple and wasn't having any problem, but now it wont work. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I'm trying to export 5-10 minute clips from and 1 1/2 hour recording.

In what way does it "not work"?

it saves the complete recording, not the clip I'm trying to make. I was originally clicking on export multiple, but it wont allow me to do that now.

Why not? Is that option greyed out? If so, are some of the other options in the File menu greyed out?

I am using the selection tool bar for narrowing down my times correclty which have worked great up until today. The export multiple isnt grayed out, but it kept giving me errors, now it's letting me export, but it's not exporting the correct recording. I think Audacity is a great program, especially what I'm using it for, but I am having this minor hiccup. Any suggestions?

Export Multiple only works if you have multiple Audacity tracks above each other, or one Audacity track with the parts you want to export labelled. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... html#split .

You can also select a region you want to export, then use File > Export Selection. Then select the next region you want to export, File > Export Selection that region, and so on.
