8KBPS (Super Compressed Audio?)

Good morning,

I have a few files, 8kbps is the only thing I see in properties.. One is 500KB in size and it says it's 8 minutes long. I can't play them with ANYTHING. Anyone have an idea how I may be able to get these to play?

Thanks!

No luck with VLC :(. I tried everything, Audacity seems like it can do some type of conversion to make it work.. Just don't know where to start.

Audacity is not a particularly good format converter.
Last ditch chances:
SUPER (free but quirky and lots of links before the download page)
dBPowerAmp (free and paid version)

Nothing on either of those either.. Damn these are some serious compressed files, lol.

That's your answer.
You need to obtain, and install system wide, the ACM decoder, ID: 41220.
From what I can find from Google, this appears to be a proprietary codec from "Verint".
Sorry I have no more information, but please do let us know if you are able to resolve the issue.
