Not responding on Export

I'm using Windows Vista and I have Audacity 1.3 (beta). But every time I go to export my tracks after the page pops up that asks where I want to save the file it freezes and stop responding.
Why?????

The first suggestion the elves will make is to upgrade to v2.0.0 - this is the latest release and has more bugs fixed than any of the 1.3.xx series.

I'm not suggesting it will solve your problem. However, if your problem is a known bug from 1.3.xx then it might. In anycase it puts you on the preferred level of code for the subsequent diagnosis of your problem.

We want to be accurate here. It freezes as the dialog box arrives, or it freezes after you put a location in and press Save? Somewhere in the middle?
And yes, this would be typical of one of the fixes between 1.3 and 2.0.
