Audacity is not a video editor, it works on audio only.

If you have a video editing program you may export the audio track, edit it in Audacity, export from Audacity and re-import the edited audio file into your video editing program.

If you do that, you should configure your Audacity to 48000, 16-bit Stereo. That's the video sound format, not 44100. You'll get fewer conversions and the fidelity standard is slightly higher.
