I have Audacity 2.0. I am experiencing a buzzing high frequency sound and do not know how to eliminate it. Help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need to do a lot better than that. Recording or playback? Both? What are you recording? Where did the show come from? If you're recording live sound, how? Exactly how? Microphone type, connections, etc.

Thanks for asking for more detail. I am trying to record from an old reel to reel tape recorder. The recorder is hooked to a pre-amp and I have a stereo patch from the pre-amp line-out to the line-in of the sound card in my computer. The music comes through fine but there is an overriding buzz. Any ideas?
