Stereo Delay?

Can anyone offer some tips on how to apply a nice full stereo delay?

I tried using l/c/r delay but it came out all pitched down and strange ever time for some reason. I’d like to use the retro tape delay but it seems to be mono only. I’ve tried making stereo track by duplicating then selecting make stereo track. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here. Thanks.

Assuming that you have a stereo track that you want to apply the effect to:

  • Click on the name of the track and select “Split Stereo Track”
  • Apply the Audacity Delay effect to one of the tracks.
  • Apply the Audacity Delay effect to the other track, but with different delay settings.
  • Click on the name of the upper track and select “Make Stereo Track”
