and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".

what should my computer settings be at?
im using a samsung laptop to record from my cdjs throught the microphone port.what should my laptop settings be at.? aint a clue..

Hi,
You have two possible better options than using the microphone to capture the CDs.
Option 1 - Record from "Stereo Mix" (see this manual entry for how to set that up: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tuto ... e_computer)
Option 2 - Use CD ripping software (Windows Media Player will do it) It will be quicker than capturing each track whilst it plays.
