Re: Effects - can this be done?
This is a broad question regarding effects. I know that I can add effects to a track that has already been recorded. Is it possible to add one of the effects to the signal as it is being recorded, or if the input signal is just being monitored without recording. When I plug in my guitar and start Audacity I can click on the input meter and hear the guitar through my headphones. Is there a way to add effects to what I am hearing at this point? Can I use an amp modeling plug in to do this? Thanks...

Real Time Effects is a very popular Feature Request and will no doubt show up in a future Audacity version.
