Setting cursor in recording

Post by ghe » Thu Apr 05, 2012 6:18 pm

I have the newest Audacity version and have discovered that I don't have precise control over the line that marks where to clip, insert silence, etc. It will not go exactly where I put the cursor and click. Instead, it seems to jump forward a bit. I never encountered this problem with previous versions. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Make sure that you do not have "Snap to" ticked (down at the bottom left).
