I'm currently trying to figure out a way to make Audacity record whatever i'm playing in Zynaddsubfx.
I'm using windows 7 and since i'm poor (no acutal piano keyboard usb) im using the computer keyboard to play whatever sounds I am playing in Zyn.
So to make the question simple. In a step-by-step process, how do I get Audacity to record the keys I press in Zynaddsubfx?
I've been tryin to figure this out for the past day and its really frustrating me. Help would be appreciated

Wait, you want to record the keys, or the musical notes?
You can set your computer up to record its own sounds.

Oh jeez this is getting annoying. I've followed the instructions to install a VSTi plug-in into audacity but doesn't seem to work. anyone know of any other VSTi plugins i can try that work? Because trying figure out how to integrate Zyn with audacity is getting really annoying. I'm not sure if im even putting the right file in the plugins folder

Audacity does not support VST instruments (VSTi)

For recording the Zynaddsubfx in Audacity (on Windows) you need to run the synth separately from Audacity and use Audacity to record all sounds that are playing on your computer (remember to turn off Windows notification sounds so as to avoid recoding "ping - you have new e-mail" and suchlike).
Koz posted the relevant documentation link previously.
