[2.0.0/Win] Extracting sound from SWF file?

Post by Shohreh » Mon Apr 02, 2012 4:43 pm

Hello

Audacity is apparently unable to play SWF files. Is there an add-on I could use?

FWIW, I also tried VLC (1.x and 2.x), but it crashes when I load the SWF file.

Thank you.

The best you can do is install the FFMpeg software. That allows Audacity to recognize and process a very wide range of content, however, if VLC couldn't deal with it, that's not a good sign.

If your computer supports it, you could try playing the SWF file in a suitable player program and then capture the sound from "Stereo Mix".
