Hello everyone, I have been a Photo-Naturalist for over 40 years.
I recently switched to video and I record sound in stereo with two parabolic microphones on Tascam DR-100 Mk III with post processing with AUDACITY version 2.0.6. before synchronizing videos with SHOTCUT
My question: on the AUDACITY screen in stereo there are two channels on top of each other
what is the left channel? and consequently the right channel?
in other thèrmes left channel up and right channel down or vice versa?
Thank you in advance, François (translated with Google)

Hello Trebor
Many thanks for the reply, awesome!
I never think about that part of Audacity
I have also just found the separation of the channels in order to be able to select a single channel (left or right) if there is to intervene only on this channel.

So it is likely something in the translation, but I thought the left channel was always displayed on the top.
