Hello,
I had this problem 2 and a half years ago and posted it here https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/audacity-ends-if-i-try-to-open-or-import-a-file-solved/56509/1 There I found a solution that helped temporarily but the problem was not solved finally and came back again. Also the link I mentioned in the solution description actually is broken, so I start a new trial to solve this problem:
I’ve been working with Audacity since a long time under Windows 7.
Now, after Change to Win 10, I can install Audacity and start it, but as far I try to open or import a file, Audacity ends and vanishes from my screen and brings a problem report similary to this:

I have this behavior with my computer with amd Ryzen 7 cpu as well as with a NUC with Intel i3 cpu.
A trial with an oder laptop with i5 and running under Windows 7 the first time I started vers. 3.2.1 also crashed this way but the system told me that it made something with the compatibility mode and after this here audacity starts an could import a wave file without problems. On a 4th computer (Dell Laptop) audacity ver. 3.2.1 (64bit) works.
I have this problem since I tried version 2.3.2. With the legacy 2.0.6 portable version I do not have any problem. I also read the machine requirements section and I think that both of my concerned Win 10 computers comply with the requirements.
Is anybody there who can help me with this problem…?
