Not really, no. You might be able to compile Audacity yourself with an older version of Lame, but I don’t know how much else you’d need to change for that.
Why do you need/want to do that?
What is the problem you are trying to solve?

You can export as WAV and then use a 3rd-party LAME encoder.
Or there is a way to use an [u]External Encoder[/u]. (I’ve never tried this.)
First of all, thank you very much. I didn’t expect so much attention.
I use Audacity on radio station to edit audios that will later import from Dalet 5.1 (Windows 2000 / XP) and I am experiencing problems with the latest versions of Audacity. For example, an audio of 38´ that works correctly in other players, in Dalet 5.1 is shown as 38´ but from 16´ it is silent. I have converted this same audio with MP3QM with LAME 3.99 and it works correctly.
I know there are external solutions but I would like to maintain the work method we have always used with Audacity.
Anyway, it is possible to follow a false track and the problem is another. I have only thought that the old Dalet 5.1 could have problems digesting junk food.
