im trying to isolate surround sound audio from a capture card source, is there any way to do this? i cant find such an option.
As shipped, Audacity records only in mono or stereo. What software does your capture card recommend?
Please tell us more about what you are doing and also what hardware you’re using…
Are you capturing a “live broadcast” stream or are you recording “live sound” with 5 (or more) microphones?
Or are you trying to create (“upmix”) surround from a regular mono or stereo recording?
