Stereofonia

Buona giornata.

Hello everyone, my name is Danilo and I am a “very fresh” member of the forum. I recently approached the extraordinary world of Audacity and therefore still have a lot to learn, but one thing that immediately jumped to my eyes is the loss of quality of the files that are exported. Let me explain: by recording an mp3 file from an external source and adding a vocal track with slightly out of phase channels, I obtained a good aup3 file with satisfactory stereo sound (instruments well divided in each channel); however, when I export the work in both mp3 and wav files, the result I get is a practically mono file with very little stereo effect. Probably I am doing something wrong in setting the conversion and saving parameters. I thank anyone who helps me to solve the problem. Good day

Perhaps not a fair comparison if the exported WAV or MP3 is being played on another device, (i.e. not the computer it was made on).

Windows has audio enhancements which can add stereo width to all the audio played on the Windows computer.
That width extra width will be missing when played on other devices.
