Can't record cassette tapes using audacity

Hello All—First time here and I am in need of some help. I just downloaded the latest version of Audacity and I want to convert audio cassettes to digital and then burn to CD or DVD. I am using a Super USB Cassette Capture to play the cassettes into Audacity. I have tried to set up Audacity so it will record the audio tapes and convert to digital.

Can somepne PLEASE take me through the steps to set up Audacity so I can get the job done? I am 75 years old and a little slow sometimes so I need all the help I can get.
Thanking you in advance.

Make sure to select the USB device as your Recording Device.

Note that Audacity can’t “burn” CDs or DVDs. You’ll need different software for that (Windows Media Play can do it). There’s also a difference between making an audio CD that plays on all CD players and burning “computer files” onto the disc and that’s determined by how your burning software is set up. Of course, your computer can play WAV or MP3 files from a disc and most DVD players can play all kinds of “computer files” but not all of them.
