I did a recording yesterday. The first 2 1/2 minutes of the speaker is distorted. There's a five minute gap and then the person speaks again and it's clear. Any ideas on how to fix the first 2 1/2 minutes? The volume levels don't seem different between the two clips.
Here's a link to the file using Wetransfer. If Google Drive is better, let me know. I couldn't attach the full file. Should I do small clips of the good audio and bad audio? Thanks in advance.

Of what? If this is Skype, Zoom or another chat app, the recommendation is get them to record the work. Zoom will record both sides on separate files if you ask them nice. If you're all wearing headphones as is recommended, you can get a good enough sound file for your podcast.I did a recording yesterday.

Of it's mono (one blue wave) you can attach up to 20 seconds of perfect quality WAV on the forum. If it's stereo, 10 seconds. Pick a representative sample of the distorted work. Scroll down from a forum text window > Attachments > Add files.
