Playback Area Limited?!? What Is This???

Help for Audacity on Windows.

Playback Area Limited?!? What Is This???

Hello,

I've run into a problem.

I've edited a song and applied a Fade In. I've done this before. But all of a sudden I'm seeing something that is limiting my playback window.

Maybe I clicked some setting by accident? What do I click to get rid of it? I've tried numerous things and nothing's worked.

I'm not an expert at this, intermediate at best. Can anyone please help?

The problem is inside the RED OVAL. That little left to right area limits how much will be played when I press Play or use Quick Play.

It stops at the end of the highlighted section. That section appeared after I applied a Fade In. How do I get rid of it???

You have made a selection in the Timeline - and that sets the range for QuickPlay:

Just click in the waveform instead
