This problem has been on going and affected EVERY file, whiles another program overwritten the AUP files.
Is there anyone able to find out why Audacity cannot find or fails to see the file, as a compatible file?
The Audacity version is 2.3.3 and something went wrong, as I do not know why this keeps happening.

Here is the report that I have saved, which looks like it failed to load the FFmpeg, as it seem to also have Errors:

FFmpeg is an optional component that enables Audacity to import / export additional file types. It is unrelated to opening projects.

I don't understand what you mean.

I assume that you are getting an error when you attempt to open a saved project.
Is that correct?
What is the error? (If the message is in another language it would be a big help if you could translate it into English for us)

Please attach the ".aup" file to your reply - that may help us to work out what the problem is.

Oh, the file replacement is meant to be the NCH Audio Converter, which somehow replace the Audacity files oddly.
I have no idea why this happens.

Please describe, step by step, what you are doing, what is happening, and what the problem is.

Audacity project files (".aup" files) are not normal audio files and are not compatible with other programs.
To get a normal audio file you must "Export" from Audacity. For example:
"File menu > Export > Export as WAV"
or
"File menu > Export > Export as MP3".

For Audacity versions older than Audacity 3.0.0 it is essential that you don't modify the "_data" folder in any way.

I have reconstructed the project manually, and it works for me.

Here is a ZIP archive file containing the repaired project. You must "Extract" the contents of this file. That will produce a file called "Riding Cymbal.aup" and a folder called "Riding Cymbal_data".

Launch Audacity, then "File menu > Open" and select the file "Riding Cymbal.aup".
It should open like this:

When I intended to open one of my Audacity file, I notice that NCH thumbnail is on a 'aup' file and I decided to check it out. It happens to be that NCH Audio Editor is the only audio editor to open it, which I do not know how and why it decided to. So, I deleted it. Then I decided to tested the files on Audacity 2.3.3. and see if that works. This made Audacity crash instead. I tested to do the import method, which works, with a result of one loud 3dB tick to silence. That method failed as well. Afterwards, I decided to check the file properties, which seems oddly fine and unchanged. So, I went to see why this is happening and what to do, whenever I decided to open the file. All I could find is fixing Errors and dealing with corrupt files, which is not the case that I intend to look for. I think the files still work, yet there is something broken and missing.

Additional notes:
I have not modified the files nor did anything for the past 9+ month, yet the problem appeared without any notice nor anything to say why. Yet, I am happy about the results of how you got to reopening the files.

So I am thinking that perhaps you installed another program on your machine that for some reason changed the Windows default settings for .aup files. If you think this is the case, then you can google "how to change file associations in windows 7".

I hope this helps. :D
