Hi!
My first run with audacity.
When I try to save my project as .auc it takes approx 2 hours both localy on my laptop and to a ext flash.
Any ideas what I´m doing wrong?

How big is the project?
What anti-virus / security products do you have installed?
What is the exact version of Audacity?
Which version of Windows?
How much free space is there on your C: drive?
What sort of computer?
I'd recommend NOT saving directly to an external drive. If you want a backup copy on an external drive, save the project to the internal hard drive, then copy it over to the external drive. Note that there are two parts to a project: a small ".aup" file, and a "_data" folder that contains all of the audio data (See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/aud ... jects.html)
