So I just installed audacity, and am trying to record sounds that come from my computer. I am using USB -c headphones (not sure if that's an important factor)
so after installing it I followed these instructions https://www.wikihow.com/Record-Audio-on-a-PC and get the error "error opening recording device -9997 " incorrect sample rate"
as can be seen from the attachment the sample rate of my headset and audacity are the same.

thanks for the help :)

I assume "Speakers (XFI GAMER)" is your regular soundcard. Make sure you've selected the USB device.

I don't know if this will make a difference but try un-checking "Exclusive Mode".

Also, If I am having problems with Windows WASAPI, I find I can sometimes get things to work with MME.

I hope this helps. :D
