audacity says it will convert to mp3 files but it will not.
i have the 213 version, says that the -LAME file is included with audacity but oesn't seem to be. W ill not download, just redirects to me how to download from Linus... I have windows 10 adn --Ineed my tapes in mp3 format. The program is okay but can't do anything with it and useless if I can't export it. -Any ideas-?

That's a really old version. I don't recall exactly when LAME was first included in Audacity, but it is definitely included in the current 2.4.2 version: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
