Audacity is not finding any of my audio devices

Help for Audacity on Windows.

Audacity is not finding any of my audio devices

Audacity isn't finding any of my audio devices and all of the audio devices are just blank any ideas on how to fix this.

Close Audacity. Do a clean shutdown of Windows. Shift+Shutdown. Not Restart and not regular Shutdown. This will take longer than normal as Windows cleans itself. Make sure your devices are connected and working (in Windows Sound Control Panels) and then run Audacity.

Don't run Skype or Zoom before you test Audacity. They can scramble sound settings.
