I received this warning (in the attached file) when I opened a project up.
Is there anyway to recover these files? This project meant so much to me & I really don't want to lose it. Also, is there a way to prevent this from happening? It seems to occur more frequently now.
I'm using version 2.2.2.

Probably not. If you have a backup copy of the project, that is by far your best bet.
Upgrading to the current Audacity 2.4.2 would be a good idea. It is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
