Hello,
This is a really basic question. But after searching on google and testing for hours... I dont find the correct answer, I ask this here. I know it's not an "audacity" question but well. If anybody can help...
I need to put the audio from a video that is 24fps to the video with the same content that is 23,976fps.
It has of course to be synchro.
So, basicaly I have to convert a 24fps audio to a 23,976 audio.
Every attempt is a failure. On goodle, it says it should be this on the properties: 24000/1001. But that doesn't match at all.
I tried 24000/999, same. I also tried many other values to test, nothing seems to be the correct value... It gives me a headache.
Any help?
Frame rate from audio 24fps to audio 23,976

So, that's (24 - 23.976)/24 = 0.001. That's 1 second every 1000 seconds (~17 minutes). Is that about what you're seeing?
And you want to go to 23.976 from 24, so you want to go slower, right?
Try the Speed Change effect with a Speed Multiplier of 0.999.

Depending on the software/effect "100%" sometimes means be 100% faster than the original (twice as fast) or 100% of the original (no change). On goodle, it says it should be this on the properties: 24000/1001.

You're using Effect > Change Speed, right? Not either of the other two.
1.001. That is totally the correct number, you just did it wrong.
30 / 1.001 = 29.97002997002997 NTSC Frame Rate
24 / 1.001 = 23.976023976023976 3:2 pulldown for US video projection of 24-frame film.
Are you sure of your originals? Our company made equipment that would shoot theatrical film at 23.976.
