remove zoom?

Help for Audacity on Windows.

remove zoom?

Hi
I've been away for a long time, but am back to converting all my CD's and tapes to flash drives, via Audacity. All was going well, until I did something inadvertently, and now I cannot remove the "zoom" feature from the cursor. (the little magnifying glass) I have read several posts about how to do this, but am unable to apply advice to get rid of this feature.
What am I missing? (version 2.4.1. Windows 10)

Press function key F1 - or click on the I-beam in the Tools toolbar

Bullseye !
Pressing F1 did nothing, but the "I beam " does the trick. Altho I do not recall seeing the "I beam" mentioned in the various help suggestions I tried.
