Re: How to reverse and change speed in one effect
Do I have an outdated version of the program? This is what I have...

Re: How to reverse and change speed in one effect
Looks like it is.
To see the full version number, look in "Help menu > About Audacity".
The current version is Audacity 2.4.2: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
In your version, "Use Custom Mix" is the same as "Use Advanced Mixing Options" in 2.4.2.

Re: How to reverse and change speed in one effect
In Audacity 2.4.3 (or what the next version is), could you add the free ability to change frequencies with a curve (and make it possible to invert frequency and pitch)? Kind of like an equalizer or compressor, but instead of changing volume of frequency or volume of another, make it possible to change frequency with another, where it inverts pitch/frequency (Linear, Log. or Exp.), if you flip the curve line... Please?
It would also be good for correcting certain notes that are the same but wrong through-out the entire song, but move it to the right note. (Yes, I know the frequencies would make it sound weird, but it is a good idea on how to fix it in the next version... somewhat. Just a start.)
If you can't do it, could you ask someone that can? Like, the programmers of Audacity? Or someone really good with VST/NY/DLL plug-ins?

Re: How to reverse and change speed in one effect
Just a quick question; I noticed you can scrub and play at different speeds with pitch. When I seek, it skips about every quarter of a second. Is it possible to change a setting to seek and change pitch (Like you would warp the speed on a tape or record instead of skipping like a CD)?
Re: How to reverse and change speed in one effect
That's more or less what "scrub" is supposed to do (though it doesn't work very well on my computer).

Re: How to reverse and change speed in one effect
Yes, but Scrub only ranges from frozen to normal speed. I want to go fast with pitch change, NOT PRESERVE IT TO NORMAL. Playback Speed doesn't reverse or go above triple speed, but does a similar thing I want to do...
Re: How to reverse and change speed in one effect
No, it can go up to 32x speed. https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/scr ... eking.html

Re: How to reverse and change speed in one effect
Scrubbing with mouse-wheel (though I used fingers on a touch-pad), OK... Now, how to go below x1.00 in Seek? To my understanding, wouldn't it just repeat or jump back instead of skip? Where it jumps every 1 second in x2.00, but jumps back every half second in x0.50?
Just curious... I remember trying to set the Change Speed effect in a negative number and reverse the music, but the program froze up and eventually closed itself, so would the same occur trying to go below x1.00 in Seek?
I remember trying this, but even when I use the scroll part of my touchpad, it says x1.00. Is there a setting I can change to achieve this?

All I know about scrubbing and seeking is in the manual here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/scr ... eking.html
