Audacity stopped recordimg

When I open Audacity, it will not record ... almost like the button is stuck. I've rebooted the computer several times. Any thoughts?
If the "Pause" button becomes stuck down every time you try to record, it's probably because you've accidentally enabled "sound activated recording". You can turn that off in "Transport menu > Transport Options".
