Audacity 2.42
Windows 10
I downloaded a video file from YouTube, converted it to .mp3 and then attempted to use Audacity to edit it. When I imported the file the following error message appeared.............mp3 decoding failed...bad audio data length. Is this a function of You Tube downloads?

I suppose the first item is the version. The current version is 2.4.2. Versions from other makers may change the numbers around a bit. Those are different programs.Audacity 2.42
How? That step is the most likely to cause problems.converted it to .mp3
