Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

Lnk unsaved file
I had a 20 mins podcast running and my computer suddenly turned off and I didn’t save the audio. When turning Audacity back on it showed an automatically “saved” Project but I haven’t been able to open it for the entire day because it doesn’t recognize it as it is a “.lnk shortcut audio”. I don’t understand why it auto-saved it in this .lnk Format. I have looked all over google and forums but no help on turning this .lnk into an audio format or how to recover it. Please help!
