PROBLEMS PLAYING BACK A MASTERED TRACK

Post by spio73 » Thu Jul 09, 2020 1:00 am

Hello,

I just bought a device to remaster some old cassette tapes digitally and it came with this software. I have successfully mastered a track, however, when I attempt to replay it using either my computer speakers or headphones, I cannot get any playback going through either. Can someone help me to figure out why? Thank you!

I have successfully mastered a track,
What does "successfully" mean? Do you get the blue waveforms and you can hear it when played in Audacity?

when I attempt to replay it using either my computer speakers or headphones, I cannot get any playback going through either.
Export as WAV or MP3, etc. When you Save you are saving to (temporary) format only usable in Audacity.

If it "seems like" it's playing but you can't hear anything try unplugging the USB device and/or make sure the Playback Device selection in Audacity is correct.

I have successfully mastered a track
Let's say you "digitized" or "digitally recorded" a track. In audio terminology "mastering" has a different meaning.

it came with this software.
If it came on a disc it's probably outdated. The current version is 2.4.2 and you can download it here.
