Using Windows 10. Audacity 2.4.1 & Focusrite Scarlett 2i4
I was successfully using Audacity prior to Windows 10 upgrade but I have only just Tried to use it since the upgrade. I was getting very poor recordings so decided to update to Audacity 2.4.1. As per comments on the forum I removed the old version of Audacity (not showing in add/remove programs so removed from the exe file.) Installed 2.4.1 and although I can record the guitar sound over backing tracks it is Only playing the backing through the live speakers and the guitar sound is virtually inaudible and muddy. It seems that the guitar sound is only being picked up by the laptop microphone.
Checked the settings which are from left to right:
NME. Scarlett Input. Stereo. Scarlett Output
The Laptop sound is set to Scarlett Output
The Setup: Guitar into Boss GT8 Sound Professor. Left & Right Output into Scarlett Audio
Interface. Scarlett Output into Live Speakers
Can anyone suggest a solution please
I have already removed & reinstalled Audacity 2.4.1
