Help for Audacity on Windows.

This forum is for Audacity on Windows.
Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at
https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the
1.2.x and
1.3.x forums.

That illustration shows earbuds for monitoring. I used them because they were pretty and available. You can force them to work, but you're really supposed to use something with gooshy pads on your head so the headphone sound doesn't leak into the microphone.

That's good stuff. I'm going down those links to see what's going on. So Zoom was paying attention.
I can see them bumping into the people with underpowered computers trying to manage four good quality sound pathways at the same time. They can't just give up on the conference. Nobody is going to want you to join a discussion and sound like a really bad cellphone. And yes, they are managing real-time voices in plain rooms over ratty connections.
I'm amazed the computer doesn't start smoking.
