Changing cursor icon?

I need to be able to make precise measurements in the spectrogram view in Audacity. Currently because the cursor is always a text i-bar, which is not precise at all, I have to select an area and then adjust it. Is it possible to change the cursor to something more precise like the default arrow, or even a crosshair?

In spectrogram track view, the cursor icon changes according to what you are doing (there are additional icons when using "
spectral selection"). The icons cannot be customised.
Vertical zooming can be helpful in some cases:

For measurements, you may be better to use "Plot Spectrum"
