Changing cursor icon?

Post by brian0918 » Thu May 28, 2020 10:28 am

I need to be able to make precise measurements in the spectrogram view in Audacity. Currently because the cursor is always a text i-bar, which is not precise at all, I have to select an area and then adjust it. Is it possible to change the cursor to something more precise like the default arrow, or even a crosshair?

In spectrogram track view, the cursor icon changes according to what you are doing (there are additional icons when using "spectral selection"). The icons cannot be customised.

Vertical zooming can be helpful in some cases: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/ver ... oming.html

For measurements, you may be better to use "Plot Spectrum" https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/plot_spectrum.html
