Vocal Pitch Analysis/Correction

Post by jmbtexas4 » Fri May 15, 2020 4:08 am

Hi,

Is there any Audacity feature, or plugin, that will plot my recorded vocals along a keyboard, so I can see what notes my vocals would be assigned to?

The attached screen shot is from Logic Pro X to give you an idea of what I'm looking for in Audacity.

Thank You Very Much,

Jeff

The program for that is "Melodyne" (by Celemony). Prices from around €99 to €699.
As you might guess from the prices, this is difficult technology that has required years of development investment.

Probably not.
The manufacturer recommends either using it as a standalone application, or as a plug-in with:
Apple Logic Pro X, Steinberg Cubase, Steinberg Nuendo, Presonus Studio One, Bandlab Cakewalk, Magix Samplitude, Cockos Reaper, Acoustica Mixcraft or Tracktion Waveform.

Thank you! Is there nothing in Audacity, or Audacity plugin, that can do what I'm asking?

I'm not sure if Audacity can help you. What exactly are you wanting to do? What's the purpose of this?

I want to plot my recorded vocals along a keyboard, so I can see what notes my vocals would be assigned and move the pitch where desired.

Audacity can't do that.
I think the right tool for the job is Melodyne.
