New computer can't record on old files
Hey, so i got a new computer and transfered my files over, both the _data files and aup files. I can open them up and record but the recording is very robotic and staticky. If i record on a new file i dint have the issue. If i mix the old files with the new ones in anyway it gets that static. Even if i record then copy paste onto the old file.

Not a solution, but try this workaround
Try the other way: If you still have the old computer and audacity on it, EXPORT your old tracks. Then tranfer these tracks to the new copmuter. There you first start a new project, then IMPORT the old tracks. At last save all as a new project.
