Hi,
I can only get sound through either my JbL 104 speakers or my headphones, but not both.
I'm also using a Behringer U-Phoria UM2 interface with my Windows 10 laptop. I have RCA
wires from my speakers going to my computer plugged in and my headphones are plugged into
the front of my interface. I've tried various combinations on both my computer and the
Audacity software but I can't get sound through both. Does anybody have the settings
already set up?
Thanks,
Larry Cockerham

Re: Can only get sound either through speakers or headphones, not both
It's normal for the speakers to turn-off when you plug-in headphones. I assume you are plugging the headphones into the jack built-into the speaker? You can use a Y-Splitter to connect (and use) speakers and headphones at the same time.

I have my headphones plugged into the front of my interface, but there is
a small input for headphones on the front of my master speaker. I have the
RCA connectors plugged into the back of the speaker and into my laptop. If
I get an adapter for my headphones plug to fit the front of the speaker,
will that do the trick?

You could connect the outputs of the U-Phoria to the speakers, and plug your headphones into the U-Phoria.

Re: Can only get sound either through speakers or headphones, not both
Thanks so much for the answer to my problem. I was able to hook my RCA outlet to
the aux. on my master JBL and that did the trick. I left the headphones plugged
into my interface. I also had to change one of my settings on the Audacity software
which I wrote down. So many connections, so little time
