Re: Music list format
Sorry, I don't understand what you're talking about.in the program the layout was like this Xxxxxx – Xxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx But when I looked at it in Windows Explorer I got Xxxxxx – Xxxx
Windows will generally show the file name and some of the metadata. Audacity has a metadata editor or you can use a 3rd-party tool like MP3tag.
Re: Music list format
In Audacity I get Name -- Title -- Contributing artists etc
in file explorer I get only Name then date
It as worked before, both formats were the same
So what have I done wrong

Re: Music list format
OK. What format are your files? Different formats use different tagging (metadata) standards
MP3 use ID3 tags and there are two versions of ID3 and other formats use other standards. Audacity doesn't fully-support all of them and I don't know if Windows Explorer supports them all.
You may need a 3rd-party utility like MP3tag. (MP3tag can handle most formats, it's not just for MP3s, but it can't tag WAV files.) Or, your audio player software may be able to display & edit the tags.

Re: Music list format
The files were saved it WAV
if I look at other items I have in Windows Explorer, they saved the same as Audacity's format.
It is just the last bit of editing, it is not in Audacity's format
Thanks Blueflame

Re: Music list format
I have found a cure, but I do no know what coursed it
The files that had not got the Audacity Format Name -- Title -- Contributing artists etc
I transferred a file into another folder, which had the Audacity Format Name -- Title -- Contributing artists etc
Guess what the Audacity Format Name -- Title -- Contributing artists etc appeared on all files
WHY Blueflame
