Audacity 2.3.2
I'm reading the manual for the new version 2.3.2. the manual shows the recording /playback meters shows a -3 level (like the older version) but the program display hasn't got it ,
I noticed this as I used to use this level as an indicator. Just wondered.

Grab the right end of the meter toolbar (left click and drag) and drag it bigger.
Note that you can grab the left end of the toolbars to reposition them.
When recording, I find it useful to stretch the recording meter to the full width of the display.
Note that it is generally recommended to aim for a -6 dB peak for microphone recording, so as to allow a bit of headroom before clipping occurs.
