Left ear sound line going downwards

Hello, guys! So , i was recording stereo audio for my youtube video. Everything was going normal until this happened for no reason! So, as you can see on the picture first line of audio is going downwards (i guess its left ear right?) and 2nd is normal it is going up! Below (name 6) is example of my normal recording.

So, what happened and how to fix it? Save me please!

My mic is Blue Yeti

It looks like a hardware problem. What hardware are you recording with? The mic built into your laptop? A pair of microphones (for stereo) connected to an external audio interface? Something else?

I dont see why it is the problem with hardware, because this problem suddenly appeared out of no where , after like 3 secs i finished recording my last normal sound

And the mic itself is set for stereo? Are you recording a stereo source? i.e. If you're recording just your voice or just one guitar, that's a mono (single) source.

There's still something wrong but if you are recording a mono source you don't "need" that bad channel. You can record in mono (if that works OK) or you can delete the bad channel and make a true-mono file (which will play through both speakers).

Of course I'm not 100% sure... You never know what the problem is until it's fixed. But, I'm putting my money on "hardware problem" and I'm blaming the Yeti. Sometimes hardware fails, and solid state electronics tend to fail "randomly", so for example it's almost as likely to fail in the 1st week or the 500th week.

See that swooping downward line in the first few seconds of the recording? That's battery or DC supply leaking into the sound. The real question is why it's only happening on the Stereo Left channel.

Since you're recording two channel "stereo" from a one channel mono Yeti, we have to start worrying about where you're getting your sound from. My money is not from the Yeti.

If you have a complicated enough sound setup, this is going to take a while to sort. Do you use games and Skype or other chat program and like to record internet sound?

As DVDDoug above, you can avoid probably days of testing by splitting the stereo into two monos and deleting the top track. The remaining track will play to both left and right headphones and you won't notice the difference.

Drop-down menu on the left > Split stereo to mono.
