Unmuffling audio

Post by MT3269 » Sun Jun 02, 2019 2:45 pm

Unfortunately I made an error when using my recording device roughly a year ago.

Anyhow, I would like to know, is there a way to unmuffle the audio in this recording to make it sound like the one I've linked to below? Both audio portions cannot be rerecorded sadly. The link below contains the 'better quality' audio, with the muffled audio attached to it which plays from just under the 30 second mark to the end at about 54 seconds. The file size is just over a MB. I would like to get the 2nd portion on par with the first.

I am using Audacity 2.3.0

Making the 2nd half louder with the envelope tool helps ...

Also try boosting bass & treble by +3dB.
