Overwrite existing track

Hello all, I would like to know how to record and overwrite an existing track from any given moment.
Say I want to overwrite second 10 to 15. I only found an option to start a new track and merge all tracks afterwards, or start recording at the end of my existing track. But what I want to do is simply put the selection cursor on an existing track exaclty where I made a mistake, hit record and overwrite everything until I hit stop. Any way to do this? Thank you!

How will you know where to stop?

Because I will hear the wrong sentence and notice exactly where it ends.
Say I said sth wrong between second 10 and 15. I will go to second 10, repeat my phrase and stop exactly at second 15.
